05.Shoulder lining (with vertical fabric)



 Bleached cotton cloth is used for the shoulder lining.
When using vertical fabric, prepare two cloths with the dimensions shown in the figure (about 50 cm long × 36 cm wide (width of fabric)).

 Fold the shoulder lining cloth 1cm from the raw edge and stitch with flat fell seam *.

Flat fell seam or welt seam* Fold the cloth at about 1cm from the raw edge, then stitch together with small stitches on the right side of cloth at an interval of about 1cm.

 ①Put two cloths right sides together and then fold in half.

②Placing a cardboard underneath the back body, make a slit of 8.6 cm (neck opening) on the cloth about 2 cm below the shoulder fold.

①Sew the back seam on the back body (side with the neck opening) with a seam allowance of 1 cm, fold the seam allowance to the opposite side to the body panel and apply a kise.

②Place the shoulder lining on the other side of the body panel, and align the raw edges of the neck opening.
Mark the back seam lines with marking pins and sew 0.1 cm outside the seam line with 2 cm stitches.
Scoop with the thread twice at the bottom, return one stitch at an angle and make a French knot.
Use the white Cotton thread No. 30 for binding.

③Unfold the body and shoulder lining on a flat surface and baste the neck opening and both side seams 0.4 cm outside of the markings.
