Physique of the wearer is taken into account when pattern matching is conducted for combining and arranging patterns.
Beautifully balanced finish can be obtained when the patterns on the eye-catching parts such as the back, the sleeve, the front panel seem line, and the reinforcement collars, seem natural together.
While matching the patterns, determine the size of each unit of the patterns.
Take note of the orientation of the patterns.
Arrange the patterns taking into account that there are parts on the kimono where patterns can stand out or be hidden, such as under the Ohashori and belts, as shown in Fig. 7. |
