02.Marking of the body panel


 How to stack the cloth

Matching together the placement marks on the shoulders and the armholes, lay the right body panel over the left face to face.
Then fold at the shoulder in half, so that the back panels are laid over the front panels with the center back seam facing you.


◎If the difference between the shoulder width and the back width is less than 3cm. Fig.5 top.

Measure ⑤The back panel width +kise(0.2cm) ×2 at the underarm opening and at the hem, connect and mark the side lines.
Mark the diagonal line between the armhole and the body by connecting the mark at the shoulder width with the side mark at the underarm opening.


◎If the difference between the shoulder width and the back width is 3cm or more. Fig.5 bottom.

Measure ⑤The back panel width +kise(0.2cm) ×2 at the base of collar and at the hem, connect and mark the side lines.
Mark the diagonal line between the armhole and the body by connecting the mark at the shoulder width with the side mark at the base of collar.

Body panels

①The length of the body panel +2cm: ①=Cutout body panel length=Height +5~7cm +2cm Cutout the body panel at full cloth length after marking with solid line.
②Armhole(21cm)
③The underarm opening(14cm)
④The center back seam(1cm)
⑤The back panel width +kise(0.2cm) ×2
⑥The shoulder width + kise(0.2cm)×2
⑦The diagonal line of the armhole
⑧Marking the edge of the fold line
⑨Neck opening(8.5cm)

 Turn over the two back panels to the left and bring out the front panels. (Confirm the common marks for the side and bottom hem lines.)


The front panels 

①From the shoulder fold to the okumi tip point :23cm
②Okumi tip point. Same size as the cutout neck opening or -1cm (8.5~9.5cm)
③The length from base of collar to hemline : The front panel width +kise(0.2cm)×2
④The front panel width +kise(0.2cm) ×2
⑤The diagonal line of the front strip attachment

 Refer to the illustration of the neck opening and mark the finished line of the neck opening.
The length of the neck opening: The length from pointイ to ロ.
