Sewing the Yukata

How to sew

12.Placing a collar core (Mitsu-eri-sin)

Place collar core on the rear neckline. Prepare a bleached cloth (10.8 cm wide × 26 cm long).

Aligning the raw edge of the collar core and the collar seam, bind the collar core to the seam allowance adjusting the center of the collar core and center of the collar to meet.

Lay the collar cloth flat to the tip and adjust the seam allowance of the collar core and the tip of the strip. Stretch out the slack in the seam allowance of the front body panel completely, mainly around the tip of the strip.

Fold the width of the collar to the finished line and mark with pins. Sew the left side in similar style.
